Sign up to help at the Fun Race & Relay Meet or help with activities at the Family Swim & Splash Party. High school students can apply their volunteer time to civic class credits. Talk to your teachers about obtaining the proper paperwork.

Here's your chance to help BIG-time. Choose from these volunteer jobs.

Millard West High School Pool Volunteer Jobs

Site Manager: Responsible for the overall planning, preparation and execution of the event. Supervises other volunteers and acts as point of contact at the event to accept volunteers and make appropriate duty assignments.

Registration: Opens desk at 7:30 a.m. and checks in preregistered swimmers using roster. Confirms that a signed waiver has been received for each swimmer. Provides registration materials for those not registered and collects appropriate fees. Distributes T-shirts, wristbands and other materials.

Setup/Takedown: Assists with setup and cleanup of registration area including placement and removal of event banners. Helps at registration table as needed.

Runner: Assists at registration table at check-in. Helps site manager with execution of event as appropriate.

Wrangler: Ensures that swimmers compete in the correct event, heat and lane by assembling and delivering swimmers to the starting area/blocks in event and heat order for their races. Maintains order in the seeding area.

Buddy: Helps in the pool throughout the duration of an event by swimming alongside an assisted or adaptive swimmer.

Relay Coordinator: Point of contact at each venue for organizing and facilitating the execution of relays.
